Present the findings as clearly as possible. Outline the demographic details and provide
information in tables and graphs, where appropriate. Be sure to give all tables/graphs/figures
a title (e.g. Table 4.1: XXXX).
The structure of this chapter depends on the themes within your research field, but should
include a short introduction and conclusion to link the paragraphs together.

•  Introduction
• Profile of Participants using demographic data (if you are using primary data). Detail of
what information sources were used (if using secondary data).
• Primary Data Collection: QUAL research: Detail analytic approach and present final themes
and sub-themes in a table. QUANT research: main statistical findings within research using
tables/graphs etc. Secondary data collection: detail analytic approach (SWOT/PESTEL, case
study) and present findings using tables/graphs/diagrams and themes.

Discussion
Discussion and Managerial Implications

You should use your findings to answer your research question in this chapter.
Make reference here to theory/current literature discussed in the Literature
Review chapter in relation to the key issues you found. IMPORTANT: Outline what
your findings mean for management.

• Introduction
• How do your findings help you to answer your research question and how does this
relate to previous literature?
• What is the impact/importance of your research? What does this tell you about your
topic in a practical business context? What recommendations could you give from your
research in relation to policy-making/management style/organisational practices? Are
there any significant changes that you suggest should take place as a result of this
research?

Summarise what you found and what it means. You also need to consider the
limitations of your study – was the methodology inappropriate/the sample too
small? What future research should be conducted in this field? Be careful not to
make sweeping statements here – try to show that you are aware of how your
research fits into this field.
