Cycle of plants

What is the plant life cycle?

The plant life cycle describes
the stages the plant goes
through from the beginning of
its life until the end.
Seeds
It begins with a seed, but there are some non-flowering plants, such as ferns, begin with
spores.

Seeds are dispersed, or spread, in a variety of

ways. Some are blown by the wind. Others
float on water. Still, others need animals to
help in this process
Germination
When the seed is in the ground, and with the suitable conditions, like water, the
germination process begins.
Seedling
A seedling is a small plant with few leaves. Later the seedling
changes into a young adult plant.
Adult plant
The adult plant is now mature and
has the ability to reproduce
through spores or flowers.
Pollination
The pollination process involves the transfer of pollen, from the male part of a
plant (in flowers, this is the ‘stamen’) to the female part of the plant (the 'carpel').
