PART
1 Using Extensive Questions
We use wh-questions to extend a conversation. The answers of wh-
questions are usually longer and more detailed than Yes/No
questions; that is why they are called open-ended questions, as we
can catch a trail from one answer and follow it up with another
question.

Movie Review
The main purpose of a movie review is to inform the reader
about the film and its ideas. Reporting all events that happen
and stating one’s opinion about them is a common mistake
that many students make. While movie review allows
writers to express their opinions about some film or
documentary, there is also the need for the unbiased and
objective approach. An ideal review combines both.

1. Catchy Introduction
2. Evaluation
3. Brief Plot Summary
4. Overall Atmosphere
5. Purpose of the Movie
6. Filmmaking Details
7. Conclusion

. . . Your Own Timeline
When people are asked to write about a certain event, they usually turn a very short
story into a long narrative. The question is: How do they do that?

The answer is simple: They incorporate their own happenings in accordance with the
timeline of the original event. They may even express their emotions and feelings at that
time.
This technique involves making your own timeline parallel to the “event’s” timeline.
The result is a rich narrative that is compiled with descriptions, incidents, and emotions.
