 Introduction

The main objective of this WebQuest is to enrich

your experience with British Literature, learn a
little bit more about life in 18th, 19th, and 20th
century in England.

To complete this WebQuest, you will have to

answer a series of questions, researching on
different websites.
The Task: You will have to work in group of two in order
to find information about one important British Literature period.

Procedure:
1. Create a Powerpoint presentation
2. Design a creative cover to represent your period. Include
graphics and write the group members’ names.
3. Write an Introduction of your Literature Period.
4. Answer the questions on separate slides. (maximum 3
slides per question).
5. Summarize the information you find on internet.
6. Copy the website/s used to answer each question.
7. Add pictures to illustrate your answers to the questions.
8. Send your first draft today. Final draft is due next class.
Group 1: The Eighteenth Century

1. How was the society in this century?

4. How was the government?
5. What was the coffee house?
6. Mention the most important writers of this
century and copy one sample of their works.

 
Group 2: The Romantic Movement

Group 3: The Victorian Age

2. Describe Queen’s Victoria Role during this
period.
3. How did the Industrial Revolution influenced

5. What are the main characteristics of the
Victorian Age?
6. Mention the most important writers of this age
