EVENT #1
• In this event the teams wins an important game. After that they are
invited by some girls from the other high school to a party later that
night, but then Coach Carter tells them not to go. The team decides to
disobey the coach and attend to the party.

• Coach Carter realizes the team is gone and he goes to look for them at
the party. He got there and found the boys having a crazy time. Coach
Carter becomes disappointed of his team because they betrayed his
trust and disobeyed his orders.
EVENT #2
• Coach Carter made a contract to each member of the team in which he was
instructing them to attend all of their classes, wear dress shirts and ties on game
days, refer to everyone (players and coach alike) as "sir", and maintain a
minimum 2.3 (C+) grade point average.

• The team members were not accomplishing the C+ grade statement, so Coach
Carter closed the gym doors, and until they get to fulfill the agreed term, he
would open it again.
EXPLANATION OF THEIR BEHAVIOR

• The team’s behavior changes as the movie


progresses. At first they are undisciplined boys who
have bad grades and do not care about their future.
This because in where they live it is very common to
people to be this way. This can be seen in many
events where it is shown in what kind of life situation
they are in.
RESULTS OF THEIR BEHAVIORS

• Their initial behavior makes them selfish, irresponsible and


uncompromised people. They are troublesome boys; most of
them are involved in dangerous or complicated situations like
drug-dealing and adolescent pregnancy.
WHAT ARE THEY FACING

• Many of them face a harsh life. They live in a poor area and therefore it
is a place with bad influence. The boys need to face educational,
personal, and social problems both as a team and as individuals.
IMPACT OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION ON
THE CHARACTERS

• The good intentions of Coach Carter, had a huge


impact con the members of the basketball team.

• Everyone in the team got C+ on their academic


averages.

• When they finished the high school, they were


accepted in different universities.
WHAT THEY ARE/BECOME
• They were young men with almost no values, they did not pay attention
to the important things of life which made some of them cross very
difficult situations.

• They became very disciplined men, they achieve what they proposed for
themselves with great values , and they got a profession that assure
them a better future.
