 Introduction
■ One of the focus areas in 11MP is to uplift the B40
households towards middle-income society. It is a game
changer in the sense that its approach moves beyond
income to look at broader multidimensional improvements
that include wealth creation, education and skills.
■ The B40 are measured as households that earn a
household income of RM3,855 and below in 2014. As
stated above, the B40 have a mean income of RM2,537
and a median income of RM2,629
■ In 2014, the B40 households can be further disaggregated
into 80.7% male-headed households and 19.3% female-
headed households
 PROBLEM STATEMENT

1) The increase of global temperature

• The data show the increase of average

temperature anomaly due to pollution such as
amount of carbon dioxide release to
atmosphere.
• The pollution occurred will affect the
ecosystem and also global warming.

 2) Increase in number of crime

• The figure shows the number of criminal occur in

Malaysia.
• The data show burglary activity is one of the
largest crime recorded per year which is 77802
cases.
• One of the factor that lead to this case is the
residence left their home without any precaution
such as did not turn on the light.
 3) High amount of energy used

• The usage of excessive light will effect the total

percentage of energy consumption in residential
and commercial area which are 6% and 14%

If we not switch on the bulb during daytime, then we can save energy use, but it could be
unsafe at night(time).
