How can population growth and resources


be brought into balance?
The current world population of 7.7 billion
Urban areas are expected to triple in size
by 2030, resulting in a loss of peri-urban
farmlands.
Life expectancy at birth increased from 46 years in 1950
to 67 years in 2010 and 71.5 years in 2015. In 2017 there
were 962 million people aged 60 or older

rivers and creating dead zones around the
