Antigone :
In the story, there was a dominance of man over
the woman in current political and social
struggles.

status. Like example, Antigone, who tried to
bury his brother’s corpes got punishment from
the man or Creon.

Antigone disobeyed the Creon’s law to try the
moral thing into his brother’s corpse with
buryying the corpse. She did not care if she

the women’s struggle to get their equality. For
the example Creon. Creon use his dominance
to punish antigone from her action to bury his
brother’s corpse wich is absolutely immoral
for himself.
QUESTION AND REASON

Why is Antigone so fearless of punishment?

She knew that somthing horrible will happen to
her and knowing that she doomed her brother
(Polynices’ corpse) to an eternal afterlife of
pain and suffering.
She believes that she have to follow the Gods
laws and it’s rules. to save Polynices from pain.
CONCLUSION

This drama is a representation of

contrafeminism because it shows the suffer of
woman due on the story. The play it self
refleced what man dominance thought of
woman. This play also showed women
standing up for what they believed in what
the right things to do.
