My visit to Frankfurt for the 2014 Auto

Show was great. This was the 65th edition
of the fair. It took place from September
25th to October 2nd in Hanover, Germany.

I arrived in Germany on Tuesday, 23rd of

September, two days before the start of the
event. I flew from New York to Frankurt. I
enjoyed the flight a lot.

I arrived at the exhibition center on

Wednesday, which was the first day of the
show. There were outdoor and indoor
exhibitions and lot of visitors.

I first visited the electric cars pavilion.

There were several exhibitions by different
car makers. I enjoyed them all.
The place was full of people because the
cars were really amazing.

A few days later, I attended a presentation

about the cars of the future. The exhibitors
showed a 3D clip about new technologies in
car manufacturing. These exhibition was
very interesting too. They even had a see-
through model car made in glass.

Before the end of the show, I had the

opportunity to do a drive test of a very
modern vehicle.

I traveled with a group of visitors to a nearby

circuit. We chose our favorite car and drove
along the circuit for several minutes. I felt
like a real race pilot!

Before leaving Germany, I had to try the

local food: sausages, of course! During the
last day of the show, I visited one of the local
restaurants. I ordered the Frankfurter
Würstchen which means “The little
Frankfurt saugage” It was absolutely
delicious! I also had a sauerkraut (cabbage
in vinegar) and a beer with it. These are the
usual sides that German people eat with
sausage.

My visit to The Flower Fair in 2016 was

great. It took place from September 2 to
11 in Medellin, Colombia.
I arrived in Medellin on Wednesday,
August 31, two days before the start of the
event.

I arrived at the center of Medellin on

Wednesday, which was the first day of the
inauguration. There were many indoor and
outdoor flowers and many visitors.
I visited the little town paisa for the first
time There were several people of
different positions I enjoyed them all.
The place was full of people because the
flowers were really beautiful

El desfile de silleteros, el acto central de la

feria, se originó gracias a la invitación que
Arturo Uribe Arango, de la Oficina de
Fomento y Turismo de Medellín, que hizo
a 40 silleteros de Santa Elena (Antioquia)
para adornar la primera versión de la feria
en 1957.

Esta tradición, que comenzó como una

alternativa de movilidad y se convirtió en
todo un arte, ha tenido una innegable
importancia tanto para Medellín como
para Colombia entera. Gracias a ello, el
desfile de silleteros fue declarado
Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación en el año
2013 a través de la Ley 838.
