Vocational Students
Statement of the problem:

The primary purpose of the study is


to determine the job readiness and
career self-efficacy of Grade 12
Technical Vocational Students.
Specifically, the study seeks to
answer the following questions:

1. What is the level of job readiness of


TVL students according to sex, age,
and strand?
2. What is the level of career self-
efficacy of TVL students according to
sex, age, and strand?
3. Is there a significant relationship
between the level of job readiness
and self-efficacy of grade 12TVL
students?

Synthesize
• Having a good job is not easy. It requires knowledge,
skills and experience. One must be prepared for his
future to have a better life. One must have the
knowledge to understand the tasks given to him, as
well as the skills to make it. In school, there are
plenty of those experiences that the students can
have; one of those is what we called internship.
Having those experiences might help students
acquiring job in the future. However, believing to
oneself that he is work-ready and career- efficient
can greatly impact one’s life and career. Self-
efficacy is an important measure of an individual's
capacity to cope with learning and performing,
whether at university or in the workplace. The
importance of a person’s efficacy cannot be
underestimated as it can influence the courses of
action they choose to pursue as well as how much
effort they will expend in given situations.
• Hence, we conducted this study in
order to assess the level of job
readiness and career self-efficacy of
grade 12 students to determine if they
are really ready in engaging in jobs
and careers. Moreover, no studies have
found to have evaluated the
relationship between job readiness and
career self-efficacy. This study will
look into the relationship between job
readiness and career self-efficacy
among grade 12 TVL students of Cong.
Ramon A. Arnaldo High School.
Methodology
Research design
• Survey-correlational method of
research design will be used in the
study. The correlation method involves
looking at the relationships between
two or more variables (Cherry, 2019).
This research will look into the
relationship that exist between work
readiness and career self-efficacy of
grade 12 TVL students at Cong. Ramon
A. Arnaldo High School using a survey
questionnaire.
Research Participants and
Sampling Procedures
• The study will be conducted at
Congressman, Ramon A. Arnold high
school at Brgy. Banica, Roxas City,
Province of Capiz, Region 6 Western
Visayas Philippines. The Grade 12 TVL
students have a total of ____,
sloven formula will be used to
determine the sample that will be
drawn from the population of Grade 12
TVL students through random sampling.

Research instrument
• Research questionnaire or survey
questionnaire developed by the
researchers will be used in order to
determine the profile and assess the
level of job readiness and career
self- efficacy of the students. A
researcher-made questionnaire divided
into two parts- Job- readiness and
career self- efficacy will be
constructed by the researchers and
will be validated by the research
adviser, one English teacher, and one
guidance counselor of Cong. Ramon A.
Arnaldo High School.
Data Gathering Procedures

• The researchers will be conducting


the survey at Congressman, Ramon A.
Arnold High School (Craahs) Banica
Roxas City, Region 6 Western
Visayas Philippine. After securing
permit to proper authorities the
survey questionnaires will be
distributed to the participants,
and the data will be collected and
tabulate it in the data table.
 
Data Analysis and Interpretation

The data gathered will be subjected to


descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Frequency Count. This will be used to
tabulate students’ age, sex, and strands.
• Mean. This will be used to determine the
level of job readiness and career self-
efficacy of the students.
• Pearson R. This will be used to determine
if there is a significant relationship
that exist between the level of job
readiness and career self-efficacy of the
students at .05 level of significant.
