Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1819 in Mvezo, south africa and his parents were
Nosekeni Fanny and Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa.
His two parents were illiterate, but as a devout Christian, his mother sent him to a local Methodist
school when he was seven years old.
In 1933 Mandela began his secondary education at Clarkebury Methodist High Scholl in Engcobo

He settled in Johannesburg, where he did a variety of jobs, while completing his degree
through correspondence courses. He then studied law at the University of Witwatersrand,
where he graduated, in 1942, as a lawyer.

After its withdrawal from political activity, it is directed to the foundation whose
objective is the promotion of a more just and egalitarian society. One of the most
