Rank entitled to one rank higher benefit is not available
Adjustment than the permanent grade last to their Taiwanese
held. Provided, that he or she counterparts
has served at least one (1)
year of active service in
permanent grade
Monthly shall be fifty (50%) of the base shall have a retirement
Retirement pay and longevity pay of the pay based on sixty
Pay retired grade in case of twenty percent (60%) of the
(20) years of active service, base pay if the fire
increasing by two and one- fighter has worked for
half percent (2.5%) for every thirty five (35) years
year of active service rendered and thirty percent

Fire fighters from Taiwan:
> receive their salaries, retirement pay and other benefits
from the local government on which they are employed.
Awards are limited only to non-monetary awards

Fire fighters from the Philippines:

> receive their salaries, retirement pay and other
benefits from the national government, the amount of
salary and retirement benefits are mandated by the law.
Awards can be non-monetary, monetary or both.
Recommendation
 It is therefore recommended that the BFP
management revisit Resolution 2001-01 to
implement changes that would further benefit
retired BFP personnel to cope up with
economic changes and high cost of living in
the Philippines.
