Puberty is a stage of life of
rapid change caused by
chemicals produced by the
body called the hormones.
• Puberty means a young person has the ability to
procreate or produce off springs. When puberty
begins, girls start to menstruate, boys start
releasing sperms in the semen which can fertilize
the female’s mature egg.
• Noticeable physical changes – such as
changes in the body structure, voice and
menstruation – occur when a person enters
puberty. Puberty is the stage of life when a person
is capable of reproduction.
