¿Who invented the scissors?

• Scissors were invented by an

unknown Egyptian, in 1500 BC in
ancient Egypt. They were used by
clothes makers and barbers.
How are common scissors used?

• A pair of scissors consists of a pair of

metal blades pivoted so that the
sharpened edges slide against each
other when the handles opposite to the
pivot are closed.
Uses of scissors today

• Some changes in scissors are the

pivoting blades to help cut the
paper, clothing, hair, and etc.
