the project.
• You need to complete Assessment 1 & 2 in the context
of this case study.
• You need to extract and analyse info from the case
study documents to complete the assessments.

• For assessment 2, assume that the project has just
finished.
• Unusual for a project of this scale, the project finished
on time and budget.
• However, problems arose on the first day of operation,
27 March 2008 that led to:
– 23,000 bags were lost during the first 5 days;
– 500 flights had to be cancelled;
– A £16 Million loss to British Airways;
– Transfer of long haul flight connections delayed until June
2008;
– A national embarrassment.
