    WHAT IS HEPATITIS-A

    VIRAL INFETION OF LIVER


    SOURSE OF INFECTION
    Infected food.

    Partially cooked non- veg food

    Eating Stored food items beyond expiry date.

    Contaminated water.
    SIGNS
    Yellow colouration of skin.

    Lemon yellow eyes

    Dark yellow urine

    Pale coloured stools


    Blood examination shows
    increased BILIRUBIN level
    SYMTOMS :
     Nausea,
     Loss of appetite,
     Loss of weight
     Vomiting,
     Fatigue , Muscle pain
     Fever
     Persistent abdominal pain
    PREVENTION
    Wash hands with antibacterial solution
    regularly before having food.

    Clean sanitation habits

    Avoid eating expired foods EXPIRED

    Avoid eating food on Road sides

    Mess crew should take all Precautions to


    prevent food contamination.
    TREATMENT

     Diet : stop all food items containing oil.


     Avoid Alcohol
     Oil free cooking is advisable.
     Stop All Non Veg food items

     Eat only steamed vegetables .

     Eat high Carbohydrate Diet. (Sugar Cane).
