ADEOLA TO THE RESCUE

Adeola is a good girl, who always does as she is told. One

day her mother said, "Oh goodness! There is no rice left
in the tin. Adeola please run next door and ask Aunty
Bisola for a cup of rice."
ADEOLA TO THE RESCUE

"Yes,Mother," said Adeola. And she went to Aunty

Bisola's house immediately.
Adeola knocked on Aunty Bisola's kitchen door and
waited patiently.
The house was quiet and dark
ADEOLA TO THE RESCUE
"Aunty Bisola?" she called and then slowly stepped into the
kitchen.
Aunty Bisola's old dog came running towards her and jumped up
against her leg.
"Down ,Max! Get down!" she said crossly. "Where 's Aunty
Bisola, Max?" She asked the little dog.
ADEOLA TO THE RESCUE
Max barked and ran into the bedroom. Adeola followed him. There
she saw Aunty Bisola lying on the floor. Her head was bleeding and
her ankle was swollen.
"Adeola, please help me up," Aunty Bisola asked. "I 've hurt my
ankle, I can't stand."
ADEOLA TO THE RESCUE

Adeola didn't know what to do. She was small and thin, and Aunty
Bisola was too heavy for her to lift.
"Come on,girl! Hurry up! Do something!" shouted Aunty Bisola.
"Please don't get cross, Aunty Bisola,“ said Adeola. I am going to get
Mummy. She'll know what to do"
ADEOLA TO THE RESCUE

Adeola ran back home and told her mother what had
happened. Mom came rushing out as soon as she heard
Adeola's voice.
