• No previous research found about the teaching of irregular plurals to elderly students of
English .

• There is not any didactic material targeted to the elderly students of English at
the Media Library of the CETED in the Faculty of Higher Studies Acatlán that
promotes the practice of irregular plural nouns at the Beginner without notions
level.

• Limited number of grammar text books, workbooks and bilingual dictionaries


and worksheets.
• None of the available materials are designed to the targeted population of this
project.
• This age group conforms a the majority fraction of students enrolled in this
course.
• To propose complementary didactic material about irregular plurals in English.

1. To describe the educative context of the elderly English as a Foreign Language (EFL)
students at the Media Library.

2. To apply a diagnostic test to the EFL students about common irregular plural nouns at the
beginner level of English.

3. To identify the problem that the targeted population has regarding their command on
irregular plural nouns in English.

4. To plan a proposal of complementary didactic material aimed to the elderly students of


English in the Beginner without notions level about irregular plural nouns based on the results
of the previous diagnostic test.
• The implementation of ludic based resources from an affective-humanistic
approach is appropriate for elderly students to practice irregular plural nouns.

• It is expected to provide the elderly students of English in Beginner level with a


ludic didactic material that helps them practice and improve their command of
irregular plurals.

• To present this research project as the dissertation for the Bachelor’s Degree in
English Teaching Major.
