(WILL) TO MAKE A PREDICTION OR
GIVE AN OPINION ABOUT THE FUTURE
We can use this form to make almost any prediction about the future,
whether we are talking about tomorrow or a hundred years from now.

WHEN THESE ARE BASED ON PRESENT EVIDENCE
We often use (be going to) to make a prediction about the future. Our
prediction is based on evidence. We are saying what seems sure to happen.
e.g.
The sky is very black. It is going to rain

FIXED FUTURE ARRANGEMENTS
We can use the present continuous to talk about future arrangements
(plans which you have organized) in the future.

When an event is on a schedule (we don’t plan) , we often use
the present simple to express the future. We usually also use a
future time expressions.
