Regional Orientation on the Design &

Principles of Idea Exemplars (Batches 2 & 3)

“What I have grasped?”


• It was Wilfredo E. Cabral the Regional Director of DEPED
Region IV_A CALABARZON who spearheaded the
orientation on the Design & Principles of Idea Exemplars
• that the PIVOT Learning Continuity Plan is anchored on ICLeA
Framework:
• needs to considers all these to answer the challenges in making
undisrupted learning the core strength of the education system
• basic education will be available
• 3.8 million learners need to go back to school amid the
pandemic

*Lesson exemplars making- shall be based
on modules the region is currently
developing
-emphasized that “learning is not kilometer
long but an inch deep”
-Saturdays - for learners’ independent
work
*It was Job S. Zape Jr., - the Chief of Curriculum
& Learning Management Division who continued
the discussion on the Design & Principles of Idea
Exemplars
-he defined:
innovation- introduction of new things, ideas or
ways of doing something
agility- ability to move about quickly & easily
-ability to think quickly & clearly
-he presented valuable parts of statements:
“We have to change the way we teach our learners. We have
to prepare them for a world that is drastically changing”
-DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis- Briones

nakasalalay. Dapat alam din po ng bata ngayon ang 4 C’s:
Communication, Collaboration, Creativity & Critical Thinking…
ang lahat po ‘yan ay pwedeng gawin sa loob ng bahay’.

I. INTRODUCTION- authentic learning
- learning activities that equip all types of learners to
gain essential life skills

& real-life contexts

II. DEVELOPMENT- mastery learning

with provisions & conditions that are
