It is an initial step in curriculum development.
Needs – Learners , teachers, community and society.
Intended Outcomes – S.M.A.R.T.
Ways and Means – Strategies to achieve outcome.

An example of curriculum plan is a lesson plan.

The end product of planning is a written document.
