EGR and Bypass valves
Function
•The EGR valve controls the EGR gas.
•This valve is driven hydraulically and its
opening ratio is controlled electronically.
Oil pressure

•The oil pressure (engine oil) of 1.47 MPa
Stick
prevention
{15 kg/cm²} supplied to oil inlet (A) is
device reduced by oil pressure control valve.
•Hydraulic piston generates pressing force
from the reduced oil pressure.
•The control oil pressure can be changed
with the drive current of solenoid.
• Valve is closed by spring but pushed
open by hydraulic piston to an opening
ratio in proportion to the control oil
pressure.
