•A poster is any piece of printed paper designed to be attached to a wall or vertical surface. A poster is a
kind of announcement or advertisement. It contains a large printed picture or notice to announce or
advertise a product or spread message or create awareness.
• Posters are designed for both eye-catching and informative. They are used for many purposes. There are
two kinds of posters. i.e. event poster and non-event poster.
•Event posters include events like school fetes(celebration),book fairs, blood donation camp etc… they deal
with events that are to take place.
•These posters include the following points.
•Slogan
•Statement
•Venue
•Date
•Special features
•Important information
•Concluding slogan
•Name of the organizer

• Posters which are related to social issues, social evils and bad habits(child
marriage, alcohol abuse, deforestation etc..) are non-event posters. Such
posters deal with important every day social issues. These posters include the
following points.

• Do not interrupt the teacher.
• Raise your hand when wishing to speak.
• Respect the classroom as a positive working environment.
BE ORGANIZED !
• Always have your books and equipment.
• Be punctual to lessons at all times.
• Plan day carefully.
• When in lessons, aim to complete the sessions without leaving
the room.
• Be responsible during breaks.
Work Hard!
• Follow the directions and do the tasks assigned by your teachers.
• Work to the best of your ability for the whole of the lesson.
• Cooperate with all within your classroom
• Leave the classroom as you would expect to find it.
• Design a poster to be prepared for cleaning the Bagmati from the part of the Lions Club, Kathmandu.
