Patient or Referring Physician Schedules a Mammogram
A patient has an appointment with her Physician for her yearly breast
exam. The Physician or patient calls the clinic to schedule a
mammogram.

Dimensions Sends Images
The images acquired on Dimensions are sent to
PACS (for storage),
SecurView (to be read by the Radiologist),
and Cenova CAD (assessment for calcifications or masses).

Radiology Information System (RIS)
The order is received, approved, entered, and scheduled in the
clinic’s Radiology Information System. Once the patient arrives at
the clinic she is included on Dimensions “Worklist” for the
Technologist to select when beginning the patient’s procedure.
The Patient Procedure is Performed
The patient enters the procedure room, the Technologist
reads the order, discusses the exam with the patient, selects
the patient from the worklist and performs the procedure.

Images Sent to CAD and SecurView
The images acquired on Dimensions are sent to
SecurView (to be read by the Radiologist), and
Cenova CAD (assessment for calcifications or
masses).
Referring Physician Receives Report
The Referring Physician receives the report and
makes the appropriate recommendations to the
patient.

Radiologist Reads Exam
When the procedure’s images have been acquired and sent to SecurView,
the Radiologist selects the patient from a list and begins to read the study.
The Radiologist will notify the Technician if additional views/images need
to be acquired. Once the study has been read…
Radiologist Signs off the Report
The Radiologist signs off on the Report and it is sent
and stored in a Mammography Information System or
Radiology Information System. The Report is now
available to the Referring Physician.
