 INTRODUCTION

• Anshula kant is from Roorkee,india Born on September 7, 1960,

.
Kant graduated in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, New
Delhi and later pursued a post-graduation in Economics from Delhi
School of Economics.
• She is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers in
1990. She started her career with SBI in 1983 as Probationary
Officer.
• She was told, Beyond part 1 and part 2 there is a part 3 in our
banking exams, that was dealing with unions and pleasing bosses to
manage promotions and transfers. However, throughout my
experience I have felt that these were all myths
 ALL ABOUT FAMILY
• Anshula Kant is married and is blessed with two children, a son and a
daughter.
• Her husband who is a Chartered Accountant, works out of Varanasi.
• Their son, Siddharth is settled in New York and daughter Nupur is based out
of New York.
• She believes that he family and the SBI's residential colonies have been her
biggest support systems.
• She cannot imagine how she would be able to manage things without their
contribution, it is because of them that she has been able to pursue her career
and rear her children. But more than that, what gave her the impetus was the
fact that working for a state-owned undertaking was not as bad as people
make it out to be.
 JOURNEY FROM SBI TO WORLD BANK
• Anshula Kant joined SBI in 1983 as a probationary officer.
• She rose through the ranks to become MD by sheer hard work
and commitment, say SBI officials.
• Kant has also served as Chief General Manager of Mumbai SBI
and was Deputy MD of Operations for National Banking Group.
• She has been a Managing Director and member of the Board
since September 2018. The date of her superannuation was
September 2020.
• SBI witnessed an improvement in its asset quality as gross non-
performing assets reduced to 7.53 per cent of gross advances at
end March 2019 as against 10.91 per cent by end of March 2018.
• On Friday, World Bank announced the appointment of Anshula
Kant as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the
World Bank Group.
• Kant is currently a Managing Director of the State Bank of
India (SBI), where she previously served as Chief Financial
Officer.
