• Every year through out the world Millions of
Industrial Accidents Occur.

• Some of them are Fatal

• Some Result in Permanent Disablement

• Loss in earning
• Disfigurement
• Los of individuality and recognition
• Dependency
• Mental depression

• 15 million occupational accidents per year
globally

• Japan and U.S.A report over 2million accidents


per year

• France, Germany and Italy report over one


million
The Magnitude of the Problem
• In India 3 lakhs people are injured about 800
are killed per year from among 2lakhs
registered companies where about 85 lakhs are
employed
• In kerala,out of 12,000 factories employing
about 3 lakhh persons there are 15 Fatal and
4500 Injuries
• This works out to 1 accident victim to every70
