TOPIC: SLEEP
How many hours do you sleep every day?

Normally, I try to get around 7 to 8 hours of sleep so

that I can fully recover my body after a long working
day. However, there are times when my schedule gets
hectic, so I need to stay up late to meet the deadlines,
therefore, the time spending on sleeping would be less.

=> Spend time/money on sth

Spend time/money doing sth
Is it necessary to take a nap every day?

Personally, I think some people find it hard to work for 8 to 9

hours a day without having a snooze. While other people get
used to working under high pressure without taking a break or
a nap during the day. In conclusion, I think taking a nap every
day is important because it can bring your energy back and
help you more productive but it’s not compulsory for
everyone.
Do you think sleep is important?

Obviously, the benefits of having a good sleep are

undeniable/positive. It helps us recharge after a
nerve-racking day, avoid being overloaded. Lack of
sleep can directly affect your physical and mental
health as well as influence your productivity.
Do you like to get up early in the morning?

Even though I know getting up early in the morning is really

good because we have more time to exercise and have
breakfast before going to work or school, I still find it hard to
get used to this habit. I mean, I’m kind of a night owl, it’s
easier for me to focus on working by night so I usually stay up
late and can’t get up early the next morning. However, I am
aware of the bad influence of this habit so I’m working on
balancing my biological clock.
- When: final exams -> nerve-racking time -> have to
stay up late to do some revision…..
- Why sleepy: hadn’t slept the whole night before ->
sleepy…
- Why have to stay awake: it’s a difficult subject +
hadn’t studied hard during the course -> do last
minute revision/ to cram up all the theories and
slides….
- How: made a cup of coffee, take energy drink, snacks,
go out side to get some fresh air…..
