Notes are additional information in a translation.

Notes can appear in the form of 'footnotes.'
A translator’s note is defined as:
“A note (usually a footnote or an endnote) added by the translator to the target text
to provide additional information pertaining to the limits of the translation,
the cultural background, or any other explanations.”

In this study I focus on accentual mobility in Balto-Slavic nominal vowel stems. The
verbal system seems to have undergone normalizations in both Baltic and Slavic that make
it difficult to reconstruct the original state of affairs with the same degree of plausibility as
that with which we reconstruct the nominal system. I should like to stress, however, that I
assume that the verbal system is governed by the same diachronic and synchronic
principles as the nominal system.5 I have left out Balto-Slavic consonant stems in the
following since I believe they have played only a peripheral role in the shaping of the
Proto-Balto-Slavic mobile accent paradigms.6

One of the few researchers who take as the point of departure the verbal system and not
the nominal system is Jay Jasanoff (see section 7.3 below). The Proto- Balto-Slavic verbal
system is analysed in Olander 2009: 153–154.

For the accentuation of the Balto-Slavic consonant steems see Olander 2009: 193–194.

paradigma aksen seluler Proto-Balto-Slavic .6

Sistem verbal Proto-Balto-
Slavik dianalisis di Olander 2009: 153–154.

Untuk penekanan akar kata konsonan Balto-Slavik lihat Olander 2009: 193–194.
