Conceptual Development

Problem Statement
• Due to the increasing cost of living it is becoming extremely difficult
for a single member of family to feed the whole family therefore,
more than one person has to go outside to earn. Traditionally,
women were responsible for taking care of their children and home
and they are just confined to house chores but now the
participation of women in workforce is increasing.
• Now the problem of concern is who will look after their children
and elderly people when they go for work. This problem created a
demand for developing a place where children and elderly are taken
care of. To satisfy the increasing demand we designed a project WE
CARE whose sole purpose is to provide day care services to
government and private employees so they can perform their jobs
well without getting worried about children and old parents during
their work hours.
 Information gathering
• The first and foremost step before initializing
any project is gathering right information from
right persons.
• All the aspects of the projects should be
rightly observed and analyzed.
• Before initializing the project WE CARE the
information is gathered from many sources.
e.g client survey.
 Constraints
This project has following limitations and
constraints:
• The project requires approval by agencies
• This project has limited budget.
• This project is not facilitating the special
children.
• This project is scheduled for completion in 11
months.
 Objectives
• Helping and supporting each child and elders with
self-esteem by developing a sense of self-worth, self-
awareness, and self-confidence during their stay.
• Encouraging them to be independent and to
recognize the importance of individuality in each
child.
• Recognizing, respecting and meeting all the
developmental needs of each child and requirements
of elders.

• To provide children and elders with an environment that will
encourage them and motivate all the children’s levels of
development.
• Providing them with an opportunity to experiment and discover
for themselves as much as possible in a safe, nurturing
environment.
• To show responsiveness regarding needs and feelings of all the
children, elders and families who will become part of this institute.
• Looking after elders and making them feel at home.
• Arranging activities and fruitful morning lectures for motivating
them.

• Architect for designing Map
• Protective electric Wiring
• Installing water pipes and proper system of sanitation
• Installing of fire alarm and cameras
• Heaters and Air conditioner/ coolers
• Geyser
• Computers for recording data
• Television connection
 Timeline/ milestones
1. Issuance of NOC by Civil Aviation
2. Preparation and finalization of design
3. Formation of Dedicated Team.
4. Contracting with Contractors and Suppliers.
5. Construction of day care and on its complete
setup.
6. Hiring and training of workers
7. Starting of the Care Centre with the enrollment of
children and elders.
 Scope Statement
• “We care” aims to provide better place and
environment just as home to the children and
elders meeting all their needs and
requirements ensuring them being valuable
part of society and encouraging them to be
active and participative in world.
The WE CARE will meet the following needs of children and
elderly:
• Include feeding, safety, sleep, hygiene i.e Physical needs
• Other needs like social and Emotional needs, attention,
play, social interaction, schedules and structure
• Training and teaching will also be included i.e Intellectual
needs
• Discipline and management of behaviors
• Taking good care of Sick kids and elderly
• Fulfilling kids and elderly needs
