THE

COMBINED
ARTS
DANCERS

Uses his body to communicate an idea

or feeling to his audience. His
movements may involve only parts of his
body – his arms, legs, or head- or the
whole body itself may move from one
space to another to the accompaniment
of music.
He may move rapidly or slowly
accordingly.
THEATRICAL PRODUCTION

Such as the drama and the opera, combine

several mediums. There is the play itself,
which is a literary form. The plot is rendered
by actors and actresses emoting and speaking
or singing their parts as demanded by their
roles.
They are dressed in proper costumes
and they move about in a stage setting
where the scenery , props , and lighting
have been so arranged as to provide the
illusion o reality. Music may serve as a
part of the plot or as background to set
the mood.
TELEVISION

Can transmit almost instantaneously these

performances and other forms of entertainment into
the viewers homes by electronic methods. The
viewers do not have to contends with crowds to watch
the performances; neither are they bothered by the
intervening presence of an orchestra pit or foot
lights. Televisions cameras can enable them to
alternately have a close up look at the performers or
a panoramic view of the performance,
Which may be ‘’live’’ or previously recorded in video
tape and ‘’run’’ at a particular time. Because of its
spontaneity and immediacy, television has a
tremendous potential or influencing people’s views,
values, and tastes; hence the need for well-designed
programs.
THE CINEMA

Motion pictures- is an extension of

photography. It makes use of combination
of several ‘’shots’’ each shot made up of a
series o pictorial units, or ‘’frames’’ taken
from one point of view. To this series is
added sound which has been recorded on
optical or magnetic film and synchronized
with the pictures.
When projected in rapid succession, these pictures
produce an illusion of reality. Altogether, they may
present a fictional story (a dramatic work for
entertainment, including animated cartoons), an educ.
Feature (a photographic essay), or a documentary (a
rendering of facts or events with a particular
viewpoint).
