12/4 – LISTENING COMPREHENSION
THE NORMAL SCRIPT SCENARIO

• A script where all answers are transferred to the Answer Sheet.


• Marking should be done in the Answer Sheet only regardless of whether the answers
have been transferred accurately or not.
• In instances where the answer is not transferred accurately, only the answer in the Answer
Sheet will be considered.

THE PARTIAL SCRIPT SCENARIO

• Answers have been transferred partially to the Answer Sheet. Some answers were done
on the Question Paper itself.
• Marking should be done in the Answer Sheet only regardless of whether the answers
have been transferred accurately or not.
• In instances where the answer is not transferred accurately, only the answer in the Answer
Sheet will be considered.

THE QUESTION PAPER SCENARIO

• Answers have not been transferred at all to the Answer Sheet. All answers were done on the
Question Paper itself.
• Marking should be done in the Question Paper only. Nothing should be done in the Answer
Sheet.
• If even one answer is transferred to the Answer Sheet, then it becomes a Partial Script
Scenario and must be marked as such (see previous scenario).
• ‘NA’ should accompany a cross in instances where candidates did not answer the question.
• Count the correct answers and write the total at the end of each part.
THE UNATTEMPTED PAPER SCENARIO

• Questions have not been answered at all.


• Write ‘NA’ at the lower right-hand corner of every page.
SELF-CHECK

• Please count the number of correct answers accurately and write the total at the end of
each part.
• Transfer the total of each part to the corresponding table cell on the front page.
• Circle the grand total like so:

• On the last page with your markings, you should also write the grand total and circle it
like the example above at the lower right-hand corner. However, this does not apply to the
Unattempted Paper Scenario.
