Introduction
Name of the project: MUMBAI METRO LINE 3 (Colaba – Bandra – SPEEZ) Work Package 5
(Dharavi to Santacruz)

 Objective of the project: Efficient connectivity and transportation

 Client: Mumbai Metro rail corporation Ltd. (MMRCL)
 Contractors: J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd.
 Principal Consultant: MAPLE
 Architects: Joined (Omikrone kappa and Indus )
 Scope of Work:
 Constructing 4 stations- Santacruz, Vidyanagri, Bandra-
Kurla Complex, Dharavi. By cut and cover method.
 Tunneling- tunneling with NATM method.
 Total stretch of the package: 5.79 Kms
 Total Cost of the project: 2820 Cr. (approx)
 Status of the project
 Santacruz Station- Excavation, piling, shoring and strutting, going on.
 Vidyanagri Station- Station work in progress. Base slab casted.
 BKC Station- Excavation done, Base slab to be casted soon.
 Dharavi Station- Excavation, piling, shoring and strutting, going on.
 Tunneling- 2 TBMs working, 1 TBM to be mobilized soon. 1TBM to complete 300-400m
 Probable Activities
 Santacruz Station- Ventilation Shaft, Excavation, Shoring and Strutting, mucking.
 Vidyanagri Station- Station elements and activities
 BKC Station- Baseslab, Micropiles for foundation, Station activities, flood walls, slabs, shaft
anchoring, shotcreting.
 Dharavi Station- Excavation patterns, Girder fixing, Shoring and strutting, Mucking disposal,
Traffic diversion, Decking.
 Tunneling- Retreival of 1 TBM and Mobilization and initial drive of 1 TBM.
 Casting Yard- Precast segments, Precast rings, Precast Station elements.

Piling.
