Plot of the Story

A boy named Roger tries to snatch the purse of a large
woman, named Luella. Roger is just looking for money
to buy some suede shoes. She grabs him and took him
her home dragging all the way. Roger feels himself in
deep trouble. But the woman offers him food, gives
him ten dollars to buy suede shoes and let him go.
Roger is very much impressed by her generosity and
kindness and pledges never to snatch things.
Theme of the Story

The story teaches us a great moral lesson. It
teaches us that if we are generous and kind,
we can win the hearts of everybody. It is our
good behavior with others that prompts them
to leave their bad habits. Secondly, the story
teaches us not to adopt evil ways to meet our
needs.
