 Equality is ensuring individuals or groups of individuals are not treated differently or less
favourably , on the basis of their specific protected characteristic, including areas of race,
gender, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation and age

Racial Equality

 Racial equality occurs when institutions give equal opportunities to people of all races. In
other words, regardless of physical traits such as skin color, institutions and are to give
individuals legal, moral, and political equality.

 Equality before the law, also known as equality under the law, equality in the eyes of the
law, legal equality, or legal egalitarianism, is the principle that each independent being
must be treated equally by the law (principle of isonomy) and that all are subject to the
same laws of justice (due process).
