Demand Generation Process

1 College – 30 member sales team visits target institutes, identifies need and

promotes titles. Process also involves meeting faculty and providing

specimen copies. Follow up is essential to get a prescription

2 Custom – Above 30 member sales team generates leads from distance

learning institutions. Exclusive custom publishing specialists identify need

areas and freeze titles which are to be developed within the agreed time &

finalize commercials

School – 60 member sales team visit 10,000 target schools and meet up with

decision makers (principals, headmistress, subject teachers) to promote the

titles and to organize support workshops

1 Sharda Chawla is associated with Madhubun Educational Books - the Children's


Book division of Vikas Publishing House Pvt Ltd, New Delhi - since its inception.
She has been involved with conceptualising, developing, selecting and publishing
books for children for over two decades.
 
2 She loves children and she loves books! Publishing children's books is, therefore,
an obvious choice. She is equally passionate about making learning a joyous
experience for children.
 
3 She is the recepient of Federation of Indian Publishers' Award for 'Distingiuished
Women Publishers, 1999' and 'Fiji Sahitya Samiti Award, 2001'.
