Mechanical/Electrical Engineers may be posted in Engineering/Operations/Sales job profiles at
any of our Depots, Installations, Dispatch units, LPG Plants, Lubes Blending Plants, Aviation
Fuelling stations, etc. across the country including Kochi and Mumbai Refineries
Electrical Engineers may also be posted, in addition to the above, in our regional offices
(Admin/Infrastructure set-ups)
Chemical Engineers maybe posted in any of our Refineries or Retail installations/LPG plants
Civil engineers may be posted at any of our Depots, Installations, Dispatch units, LPG Plants,
Lubes Blending Plants, Aviation Fuelling stations, regional offices etc. across the country
Computer Science Engineers may be posted at any of the regional offices in the 4 metros (Mumbai,

ENGINEERING OFFICER – RETAIL BUSINESS
• To add value by construction, maintenance & augmentation of retail outlets
• Retail network facility, ensuring standards of quality in BPCL Retail Outlets
• Retail network facility, Business planning, Materials management
• Coordination and interface, Quality and safety

OPERATIONS OFFICER: ALL BUSINESSES


• To add value by ensuring supply by placing products of right quality at the right time in the right quantity and achieving
targets
• Responsible for proper accounting of receipt and storage, cost effective transportation and safe handling of
products/facilities

SALES OFFICER: ALL BUSINESSES


• To add value by effectively managing sales geography and supporting BPCL in becoming the market leader in MS and
HSD or Domestic/Non-Domestic/Commercial/ Bulk LPG products or Lubricant Products
• Champion marketing initiatives like Beyond LPG/Allied Retail Businesses and ensure compliance

REFINERY: INSPECTION ENGINEER


• To add value by reviewing plant operating conditions, inspecting plants during shutdown and operation and aiding in
safety of the plant,
• Supervise, coordinate and recommend actions to be taken,
• Issue work/safety permits, Material management

REFINERY: MAINTENANCE ENGINEER


• To add value by direction and supervision of activities of maintenance fitters and welders, equipment operators and
drivers
• Coordinate maintenance activities with planning, manufacturing, warehouse, engineering, etc.
• Assist in planning, organizing, executing shutdown/preventive/emergency maintenance

REFINERY: PROCESS ENGINEER


• To add value by reviewing operating data, investigating operating problems and recommending solutions to elevate
efficiency of equipments and processes.
• To undertake evaluation and process design of new/additional projects or modification to existing plant
Roles & Responsibilities- Civil Engineers
• Creation of infrastructure for Retail Outlets / LPG Bottling Plants / Installations/Depots/Offices/
residential quarters etc.
• Add value in creation/design of pipeline infrastructure
• Add value in design &setting of plant layout and site layout
• Undertake feasibility studies of proposals including selection of sites, selection of building
material, liaison with Local and statutory authorities for approvals of layout/ proposals
• Undertake responsibilities in contract management including site supervision of
civil/mechanical/electrical/pipeline jobs
Key Skills:

Salary Components (cont.)

• You are eligible for conveyance reimbursement ( less transport subsidy ), if you own
two wheeler or four wheeler and use the same at the place of posting
• On confirmation in service, you are entitled for Remote Access Facility, PC on hire and
Vehicle loan ( Two or Four wheeler ). You are also entitled for Furniture on Hire after
3 years of service with BPCL.
• In addition, you can avail Housing Loan after 3 years of service in the Corporation
• Good network of Holiday Homes is available across the country
