History of Incubator
History of Incubator is happened because a magazine was
realized by England during the second world was. The magazine
explain that the Incubator is used to “wood box, hot water, and
certain”.
By using a cylindrial building underneath which was given a
fire, then the object to be incubated was placed on an inverted
cone partially covered in ash

discovered by the people of pans , France namely Reamur Lyman
Bryce inverted the coal lamp incubator in 1679. And the first
commercial machine was made by Hearson in 1881
DEFINITION OF INCUBATOR

Incubator Laboratory is the microbiology

laboratory equipment which is use to microorganism
incubation like a bacteria, fungi, and microbial cells.
Regulated condition include air temperature,
Relative Humidity (RH), etc. Incubation is a
treatment condition at inaculated microorganism on
the solid or liquid media.
FUNCTION OF INCUBATOR
FUNCTION : CONDITION
CONTROL AREA IN
INCUBATOR SUCH AS
TEMPERATURE
AND HUMIDITY.
Standard Operasional Procedure (SOP) for
Instrument Inspection

1. Pay attention to warning signs

 Organic/flammable solvents cannot be used in an
incubator room
- dangerous
- warning
- coution
2. Warning label
A warning label is present on the device to indicate
an important information and keep the tool durable.
Features and Principle
1. Conditional control area
Incubator designed for room arrangement according to
optimum temperature, humidity, ratio oxygen and
carbon dioxide.
2. Timer
Use to control how long temperature lasts with different
cycle conditions
3. Incubator Capacity
Incubator size is variously by the small volume up to
big volume. There is 9,3 L – 300 L
Maintenance for Incubator

Turn off the botton component key

and pull the plug from the AC terminal
before cleaning. Wipe with a soft cloth or
wet towel after finished. There is a rack
in the incubator that can be dismantled so
that makes it easy to clean it.
