The Arab spring is a Pro-democracy uprising
currently sweeping the Middle East and North
Africa, sparked in Tunisia on 18th of December
2010 ,followed by Egypt on January 25th
2011,Yemen and Libya.

resistance in sustained campaigns involving
strikes, demonstrations, marches, and rallies, as
well as the use of social media to organize,
communicate, and raise awareness in the face of
state attempts at repression and Internet
censorship.

from authorities and anti-demonstrators.

Tunis, Libya, and Egypt.
Grant of Political and Social Rights.
Development of Public Political Sphere.
Impacts on the surrounding states.
Impacts on Arab League and GCC.

Women.
 Women were able to raise their voices.
 Women became active users of social media.
 The gender divide disappeared completely.
 Sexual harassment got minimized to some extent.
 Women became more and more courageous.
 Stereotyped images of women changed.

 To inspect the position of women before Arab
Revolution.
 To examine the role of women in Arab
Revolution.
 To analyse the position of Women after Arab
revolution.
 To examine the causes.
 To explore the consequences.
5-Methodology
 The methodology will be objective, analytical, investigative
and systematic in nature.
 The study will dependent on direct, indirect, interpreted,
interpretable, published interviews, qualitative and
quantitative analysis of the subject matter.
 The study will derive both from original, primary sources
as well as from the secondary sources.
 Literature review of books, journals, newspapers would be
made.
