Prerequisite: Specify document numbering sequences for the category of global, ledger, legal entity or business unit level to enable automatic contract
numbering on contracts.
If you select the manual method, requiring contract authors to enter a unique contract number each time they author a contract, then no further setup is
required.
Setup: specify manual or automatic numbering for contracts of each contract type using the Manage Contract Types action from the Setup and
Maintenance work area.
