What is a meerkat?
A meerkat is a mammal that belongs to the
mongoose family. Like most furred mammals,
it is a quadruped but can also stand upright. It
is relatively small, with a body length of 30
centimeters and weight of no more than two
pounds. However, its tail can grow as long as
it s entire body. A meerkat’s face is pointed
toward the tip of its nose, while a dark ring
surround each of its eyes. It uses its claws to
dig and catch its prey.

Images affect how
people view things. It is not
easy to visualize things if
one lacks background
knowledge about them or
one has not experienced
such. A word becomes
clearer and more
understandable when an
image is presented
(Gordon, 2012).
