 PREFIXES
• Propósito: Determinate the definition of prefixes and identify the classification.
• Definition:

Prefixes and suffixes are letters or groups of letters that are added to the beginning
of a word (prefix) or to the end of a word (suffix) to change the meaning and/or
function of the word.

Many prefixes and suffixes have Latin roots.

 CLASSIFICATION OF PREFIXES.

• Size (macro, micro),

• Quantity (mono, uni, bi, tri, quad, multi, poly),
• Relationships (anti, contra, com, sym),
• Position in time (ante, fore, pre, post)
• Position in space (circum, exo, inter, intra, peri, sub, trans,)
• Quality (eu, mal), or.
• Negation.
