Al-Islah, Falah, and Da’wah
The Meaning
 AL-ISLAH
• Correction, peacemaking and reform.
• Mutual betterment and co-operative
understanding among the living people.
• To:
1) correct oneself
2) amend family members to be good
3) work for betterment of fellow brethren/sisters
4) work for betterment of ummah
 FALAH
• Success
• “the fact someone has achieved
something that he/she wants and has
been trying to do or gets”
• Muflih is:
1) a person who purifies himself
2) abides by the wills of Allah
3) turns away from Al-Laghw
 DA’WAH
• A call and propagation
• Diverting mankinds’ sight and their intellect to a
creed which earns them welfare and avails
them.
• A rescue of mankind from a loss in which they
are on the verge of falling into, or calamity that
which is about to ruin them.
• It is:
1) putting something in its right way
2) good admonition
 AIMS OF ISLAH, FALAH &
DA’WAH
The main aims of these three concepts are:
•Mutual help and understanding
•Collective Tazkiyah
•Loving one another for the sake of Allah
•Spreading good among mankind
•Reciprocating
 CONDOTIONS OF ISLAH, FALAH
& DAWAH
•Establishing it as social justice in life
•Leaving all abnormalities
•Realizing sense of tolerance, individual differences and
similarities
•Seeing in the midst of ummah, ulamah who are truly
using this 3 concepts in persuing excellence in life.
•Mankind is bound to erect on these concepts in order
to gain an eternal life
•Adopting these concepts as basic needs of life
 ROLES OF ISLAH, FALAH &
DA’WAH
•These are concepts which his nation depends upon
•They are what our noble Prophet and sahabah
practice
•World achievers using it to surpass in life
•By practicing it properly, they turn misfortune to
fortune, cry to laughter and disaster to good.
•A true promise of Al-Quran when it provides that the Believers
have truly succeded….[23:1]

•What a lady did in the regime of Umar, and Umar said to his son
to marry her. Perhaps, he thought Allah will bring forth from her
good children, and from her came Umar ibn Abdul Aziz

•The episode of Umar in many events, especially when a Roman

Ambassador, who came to visit him, saw him sleeping without fear
in the open despite his high office of Caliph, while the Roman
Emperor (Caesar) always used to remain guarded
•What Abu-bakr did at the shelter of bai Saa`d after the death
of the Pophet (SAW) when all of the Ansar gathered to discuss
about whom they would select as an khalifah

•How Abu-bakr calmed Umar and corrected him when he

disapproved the death of prophet (SAW)

•What Abu-bakr did to recall all the apostates back to the pale
of Islam when they were doubtful of obligation of Zakat after
its collector (SAW) had departed to meet his lord
•Completely make use of these concepts in our life

•Understand our role towards letting others to know these

concepts in making life better

•Ready to love, work and do everything for Allah alone

•We need to sure that uncountable rewards and blessings are

waiting for anyone who makes use of these concepts, both in this
life and herefter
