ARTIKLES a,an
Use “a” for words that begin with
consonants:
a cow
a tree
a dog
a ruler
Use “an” for words that begin with vowels:
an elephant
an orange
an exercise book
an MP3 player
We don’t use the indefinite
article a/an in front of plural
nouns!
