CLASSIFICATION OF WASTE
WATER

Wastewater generally classified as follows:


DOMESTIC WASTEWATER (ARD) coming from the
activities domestic ( washing clothes, bathing)
RAIN WATER (ALL) caused by rainfall runoff flowing from
rooftops, streets, gardens.
  LIQUID INDUSTRIAL WASTE (RLI) are from industrial
processes.
AGRICULTURAL WASTEWATER (ARA) come from surface
runoff from agricultural areas.
IMPORTANT

• In Peru treatment plants are rare and usually


sewage are discharged into the sea, rivers or
lakes, giving rise to serious water pollution by
organic matter saturation.
• The wastewater should be treated before
being discharged into the environment,.
