Introduction to Sewing Department
 Sewing is the most important step in garments
manufacturing. Sewing means the joining of
garments components with the help of needle
and thread. It is the dominant process of
garments assembling and still the vest way of
achieving both strength and flexibility in seam as
well as in manufacturing methods.
Objectives of a Sewing Department
 Sewing department is the heart of a garments industry.
In this section we attach all parts and trims as like as
buyer requirement. In Bangladesh now days we are
fighting to develop regarding this department. If we want
to develop the sewing department, at first we have to get
knowledge on it. In this module we will discuss total
activity of sewing department as well as various parts of
a garments. We also keep a practical session which will
help to enhance the practical knowledge on sewing
room.

 3. Parts distribution to the distributor & helper.
 4. Position mark to the component where required.
 5. Parts making.

 7. Parts assembling.
 8. In line quality audit.
 9. Output counting & checked with the target.
 10. End line Quality audit.
