Unacceptable Resources

o Reading aloud to the students the scripted directions exactly as
stated; and
o Requesting guidance from the Test Coordinator when unusual
circumstances arise or when uncertain about proper procedures.

• All Students are required to take their grade level Math test.

Grade 8 – are not required to take their grade level Math test.

Math • Students enrolled in high school course aligned to Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II standards may take the
appropriate EOC ELA Math test in place of the grade level test.

Students with significant cognitive disabilities that are eligible for an alternate
assessment are excluded from AzMERIT.

• AzMERIT EOC tests for English ELA 9, ELA 10, and ELA 11
• Aligned to the first three English credits required for high school graduation
• Students enrolled in high school course aligned to ELA 9, ELA 10, ELA 11 standards may
also take the appropriate EOC ELA test.
• Examples:
• Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior English
• Advanced courses including Honors, AP and IB
• Non-traditional courses like Shakespeare, Mythology)

AzMERIT EOC Math Tests
• AzMERIT EOC tests for Math Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II
• Aligned to the first three math credits required for high school graduation
• Students enrolled in high school course aligned to Alg1, Geo, Alg II standards may also
take the appropriate EOC Math test.
• Examples:
• Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II
• Advanced courses including Honors, AP and IB
• Non-traditional courses like Integrated Math
EOC Tests
 Students will test AzMERIT End-of-Course (EOC) tests the
same semester that the student is expected to complete the
course for credit.
 It is the responsibility of the schools to determine the
appropriate time that students should complete the EOC tests.
 EOC tests can be administered during the Fall, Spring, and
Summer.

 Students with significant cognitive disabilities that are


eligible for an alternate assessment are excluded from
AzMERIT.

available for both AzMERIT and AIMS Science.
Test Administrators must be familiar with these directions prior to
the day of testing.
All Test Administration Directions are available online prior to the
test administration.

During test administration Test Administrators can use either online


or paper copies of the directions.

Groups of students associated with a teacher in a particular school.
Typically represent individual periods in upper grades.
Can also represent special courses offered to groups of students.

Why Roster?
Rosters can aggregate test scores at these roster levels.

test.
The rosters you create in TIDE are available in the Online Reporting System (ORS). ORS
can aggregate test scores at these roster levels.

Is this required?
No, students that are not rostered can still be viewed at the school/district level but may
not be visible to some teachers depending on their role.
