 1 to 2 pages
 Height and weight (only required for
 10 – 12 font size
specific position and industry)
 Your name should be largest font on
the page  Place of birth, race, caste and health

 Times new roman, Arial, Verdana,  Fancy fonts, clip arts or non traditional
Calibri paper

 Use bold and underline selectively  Folding / crumpling resume


 Indented or bulleted statement
 Stuffing into envelope

• DRESSING

 Only formals always preferred at all organization

• GROOMING

 Maintain good hygiene

 Neatly tied / trimmed hairs

 Use mouth fresheners

 Neatly trimmed dirt free nails

 Clean , washed, well ironed, well fitted uniform

 Polished shoes low heel / flats closed shoes


No flip flops, sandals, chappals, high heels which make lot of noise
No torn shoes
No flashy jewellery
No loud make up ( lipstick and nail colour should be subtle and natural
shades)
PRE INTERVIEW PREPARATIONS

• Feel confident about interview


• Don’t be over confident
• Review your resume
• Be punctual at the venue
• Preparations ( rehearsal , revision , up to date)
• Dress for it

• What are your strengths and weakness ?
• What is your greatest strength ?
• What are your outstanding qualities ?
• What interests you more about this job or company ?
• What personal characteristics are necessary for success in your field ?

• Explain your role as a team member ?
• Tour achievements / initiatives in career ?

DO’S OF INTERVIEW
• Dress appropriately
• Personal grooming and cleanliness should be impeccable
• Know the exact time and location of interview
• Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early
• Sit still on your seat
• Use good grammar and good dictionary
• Treat everyone with courtesy and respect
• When greeted by the interviewer offer firm hand shake , make eye contact , have a friendly
expression
• Be sure you understand interviewer’s name and correct pronunciation
• Address your interviewer by MR OR MS and the last name
• Ask for clarification if you don’t understand something
DONT’S OF INTERVIEW
• Don’t make excuses ( take responsibility for your decision and your actions )
• Don’t make negative comments about your previous employers or supervisors
• Don’t treat the interview casually
• Don’t give the impression that you are only interested in salary
• Don’t act as if you would take any job or are desperate for employment
• Don’t chew gum or smell like smoke
• Don’t take cell phone calls during an interview ( if you carry cell phone , turn it off
during the interview )
After the interview
• Courteously thank the interviewer’s for the interview opportunity
• Extend a hand shake and exhibit enthusiasm about the career opportunity
• Consider following up with a thank you note or e-mail of appreciation to the interviewer(s)

• Your salary expectations ?
• Do you have any other offer ?
• How soon you can join ?
• How would you commute ?
• You want to ask anything ? ( ask about when you will hear from them )
