 Professional acapella group with six singers – 3
women, 3 men
 Most of the singers have studied singing either at
the Sibelius-Academy or at the Pop/Jazz
Conservatory in Helsinki, Finland
Rajaton III
 Performs in their home city of Helsinki, Finland
› Mostly perform for private occasions
› Weddings and private parties
 First place at the Tampere Choir Festival
 “Nova” named “album of the week” in one of
the shows on the Irish national classical radio
station, Lyric FM
 The Real Group
The Real Group II
 The Real Group is a professional a cappella ensemble from
Sweden that has lasted for 24 years!
 Made up of 2 women, 3 men
 Concert performances, events, CD/DVD-recordings, song-
writing, arranging, score publishing, CD-production for other
artists, master-classes/workshops, seminars, etc.
Undiscovered
 The top five songs on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart cater to
the trend towards mediocre rappers whose tracks are held
together by bass alone

 Unlike acapella groups, another reason these artists are so


successful is because they utilize auto-tuning

 This means that acapella singers need to work even harder to


make it into the music industry than the U.S. Billboard Chart
artists
Promoting Listenership
 Call into radio stations and suggesting for the DJs
to listen to the songs
 Feature in background music in commercials
 Having Glee do covers of several European
acapella songs
