Communication Modes

These are channels through which one


expresses his or her communication
intent.
It is a medium through which one
conveys his or her thoughts.

Face-to-Face Interaction

 It is an informal or casual conversation


between two or more people.

 It establishes relationships or maintain them.

 It is one way of gaining acquaintances or


friends.

Advantages:

1. You can directly hear the message being


expressed.
2. You can note non-verbal cues and visual cues.

 Web cameras are used by two or more people
who cannot meet and interact face-to-face.

 It could be an effective mode of


communication especially for people
separated by distance.

Advantages:
1. You may engage in conversation with loved
ones during significant, meaningful occasions.
2. You can hear the voice and see up close the
face of your beloved.

Disadvantages:

and cues of the person who is talking.
2. It is difficult if the other person has a
different accent.
