INTRODUCTION
During the presentation of these slides we will see what are the
steps to make a reliable export of products with economic benefits
that do not make us risk much money and time.
CONSOLIDATED COMPANY
its very important to consolidate the company to legitimize the export activity of colombian
godos. Generally, the local businessman perceives that exporting is a complex, expensive and
highly specialized process. However, entering international markets thanks to the state's digital
communication tools and programs makes the process easier and more accessible.
REGISTER AS EXPORTER
any company or individual that is going to export, must obtain a unique tax registry,
rut, that enables it before the DIAN
The exporter must register with the foreing trade single window -VUCE- (computer
sistem that integratesthe process of authorizations, permits, certifications and good
views required by the colombian authorities for exports and imports).
the exporter must have previously acquired his digital signature in
"CERTICAMARA" with this signature , mincit grants you username and password
to access the VUCE.
SELECTION OF MARKETS
If you want to know about the potencial of your product in the markets
international, the exporter must investigate market characteristics.
It is fundamental to know about the potential of your product in the markets to
export internationally, it is advisable to make an investigation on the
characteristics and aspects of the external market such as, for example:
The country's demand, basic economic indicators (prices, exchange rate,
inflation, imports, exports)
Commercial customs
Competition
Conditions of access,
Current trade agreements
Trends and tastes of the target market
All this is in order to minimize risks and make decisions with certainty
regarding potential buyers.
CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN
The certificate of origin, is a document required by the customs of the
country of destination to acredit tariff exemptions.
The Certificate of Origin is an application that allows to obtain the
documentary proof of origin by which it is credited that the products
were made in Colombia. This document is obtained in order to benefit
from the tariff preferences established in the different Commercial
Agreements subscribed by Colombia.
DETERMITATION OF TARIFF CLASSIFICATION
This is a provisional invoice whose purpose is to provide the buyer with information on the weight, number of
packages, transport costs, insurance, etc. of the operation to be carried out.
Commercial Invoice
It is the binding document that makes up any purchase-sale operation. It must state the concept, quantity and amount
of the products to be exported, the means of transport, the delivery conditions and the payment method.
Packing list
It is the list of products that the transport agencies provide information about the merchandise. This document, which
is mandatory, contains information about the cargo, giving it a reference number to avoid loss and destruction and to
facilitate the selective recognition of the goods by the customs authorities.
Single Administrative Export Document (SAD)
It is an essential document in any export. It serves to declare the goods to be exported and the characteristics of the
operation. This document, which is issued by the Tax Agency, must be kept for three years after the operation
because it may be required after the export or import.
Certificate of origin
The purpose of this document, which is issued by the Chambers of Commerce, is to prove that
the goods actually come from the country of origin. It is used for exports outside the European
Union and has an expiration date
Transport documents
There are also documents whose basic function is to certify the state in which the goods have
been received in the country of destination. In the case of road transport, this is the
"International Road Transport Document (IRD)".
Others
In addition to these, certified veterinary, phytosanitary and sanitary documents may be required,
depending on the nature of the goods.
